Donna Karan Perfume
Donna Karan entered into the world on the 2nd of October in 1948. She was born in Forest Hills, New York. Donna Karan is best known for designing many different perfumes for women as well as designing fragrances for men as well.
Donna Karan began her career at Ann Klein in the 1970’s and as a result of her good work, it earned her a promotion to the head of Anne Klein’s design team. In 1984, she started designing different types of perfumes from her own brand. In 1989, she left Ann Klein.
In 1992, Donna launched her first limited fragrance for women. Some of the ingredients in this perfume contain ingredients such as peach, neroli, pineapple burst any many more ingredients that came out on top. Up until 2008, her first fragrance for women was limited. In August of 2008, different designers such as Harrods from the United Kingdom and Bergdorf Goodman from the united states designed a similar fragrance.
Throughout the years, Donna has launched many new fragrance’s such as Chaos which came out in 1996. It contains several different ingredients such as carnation, cinnamon, saffron and many more ingredients. She also released another classic Donna Karan Fragrance known as “Black Cashmere” in the mid to late 1990’s. Black Cashmere contains key ingredients such as saffron, red and white peppers and others.
In 2000, A company known as Luxury goods conglomerate LVMH took over the company. However, perfumes released from the company still continued to be offered under the Donna Karan Beauty label as well as the DKNY label too.
Also in 2000, Donna began designing fragrance’s for men. Her first fragrance was known as DKNY Men which contained ingredients such as Ginger and Mandarin Orange and a few others.

• DKNY Be Delicious for women in 2009

• Iris for Women in 2010
• A few essences for women such as Essence Jasmine, Essence Labdanum, Essence Lavender and Essenge Wedge in 2008
• Two versions of DKNY Summer for Women. One version was released in 2006 and another was released in 2009.
• Two versions of the DKNY Summer Fragrance for Women. One version was released in 2007 and the other was released in 2009.
• DKNY Be Delicious Picnic in the Park for men in 2007 as well as a women’s version of this fragrance that same year.
• She also designed a fragrance known as DKNY Be Delicious RED Art for both Men and Women in 2008
• Any many others
As you can tell, many of her fragrances were released between the years 2000 and 2011 for both men and women.
Overall, Donna has designed a total of 64 perfumes and it’s likely that she will design many more perfumes for years to come.
